Maki Horikita was at the awarding ceremony for the 42nd Best Dresser Awards as she was one of the winners chosen for the showbiz category. She wore a navy blue velour dress with diamond accessories for the occasion. She commented: "I'm not really a fashionable person so this surprised me. I'm really honored and embarrassed for receiving an honor that is more than I deserve".

When she was asked about her plans for Christmas, she responded: "That will be the day of Miss Pilot's final episode." When asked whom she'll watch it with, she replied: "I always watch it quietly alone, but I would like to watch it this time with a lot of other people". "I want to dress up and attend a party. I hope someone invites me..."
