Shuukan Bunshun reported on the issue released on the 20th about AKB group general manager Tomonobu Togasaki's "habitual use of synthetic cannabis". He manages over 300 members of the entire AKB group, and people would expect the media to make a huge circus out of this, but all gossip shows and sports papers have seemingly ignored the issue.

The reason why Bunshun keeps on chasing after AKB's scandals is:
"The official book of AKB's Tokyo Dome concert was published through Bungeishunjuu, Bunshun's publishing company. Performing at the Tokyo Dome has been AKB's goal right from the time they made their debut. There were talks going around that 'even the mighty Bunshun has fallen' since these two sides joined forces for this major event. However, the huge agencies who have the main members under their roster refused to provide pictures, as well as cancelled interviews for the book. This is partially the reason why the book did not sell well. These events have seemingly lit a fire to Bunshun's stance of exposing AKB further."
