I think Johnny's fans don't look at these guys as the opposites sex (men), but more like things to adore, or mascots which they can fantasize about.
Same goes with Takarazuka and figure skating.
Nagase has always been at the forefront, is popular enough, and is really cool and dashing as a real man. Even all these young actors these days are pretty tall. Nagase and Matsuoka can act and play instruments, and are really manly.
Regardless if they're Johnny's talents or not, they're still well known and liked, and have grown up quite well as adults.
Chinen has cute looks and he's actually well balanced, but it might be difficult for him to shift his image to that of an adult man. But looking at >>1, Chinen really does have a nice looking face.
