* The "Tamo-loss" syndrome

As Waratte Iitomo saw the curtains drop one last time on Monday, a lot of viewers have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms, so much so that this has spawned the word "Tamo-loss".

A lot of comments were quickly made on the Internet.
"The show has been on air as if it was something that's supposed to be there ever since the time that I was born. I still can't believe that this has happened."
"It's been there since I was born. I was always happy when I got to watch Iitomo on days that I did not go to school. That was how I grew up."
"32 years is such a long time. So this is how it feels when something you thought will always be there goes away. Thank you for everything up to now."
"We've watched it now across a number of different generations. I'm not sad, I just can't believe this. I still feel like it will still be on TV tomorrow."

* Tamori's final speech
The grand finale of Iitomo saw an extravagant lineup of guests, like Sayuri Yoshinaga, Sanma Akashiya, Downtown, Ucchan Nanchan, and Ninety-Nine among others, helping the program go out in style.

Tamori who has hosted the show for 32 years said: "All the viewers have given me different valuations, and given me the right to wear a lot of nice outfits. And I am truly grateful that I have been given the chance to say my thanks to everyone here.". All guests then proceeded to sing "Ukiuki WATCHING" and Tamori ended the show with his usual "So will you watch us again tomorrow?".

Ungirls' Takushi Tanaka: "I hate stupid people; Serina is stupid"

Bibiru Ooki once said in a program that "There is not a single man who hates Tanaka of the Ungirls", to which all the other male comedians agreed. They did say however, that women who said they like Tanaka would always turn him down whenever he approached them to have a serious relationship. Tanaka has not changed his high standards, though.

Tanaka is tall and a graduate of Kokuritsu University. Even Ariyoshi said on the program Ariyoshi x Otoko Geinin abunai shinnenkai (Kansai TV) that "Tanaka can be proud of having amassed a bit of fortune, and of having a huge package". He is also very honest, and is well-liked by everyone. Tanaka also admits to being aggressive when it comes to the woman that he likes. He considers the looks and the age of the woman, but cites: "No to stupid people!". He said that he would be grateful to the woman who would marry someone like him whom a lot of people feel grossed out by, but he still will not lower his standards.

He says that his ideal woman in showbiz is Kaori Manabe, and hails her for being smart. Then when asked who he thinks is stupid, he said, "Serina is stupid".

The other half of Ungirls - Yoshiaki Yamane married in November last year. Both of them were always viewed as "gross" characters, but Yamane always had a girlfriend, while Tanaka was the only person who wasn't popular at all. Yamane only had to act like that due to the nature of their business.

Ami Kikuchi makes Anne Nakamura cry

Anne Nakamura and Ami Kikuchi were both on the variety show Shabekuri 007 (Mondays 10~) as both of them were featured as "people whom you see each and every single day on TV these days" as the theme of the discussion was about "women's battle for survival".

Kikuchi said, "I don't want to disappear within the year", while Nakamura said, "I just don't want things to suddenly come to an end for me once I come full circle", as both expressed how they are not satisfied with their current standing. Kikuchi was serious throughout the segment, and also said that she's trying to obtain a license as a "head lymphatic massage therapist" in order to survive.

Shinya Ueda of Cream Stew commended the two on their passion for learning new things and said "If you're that serious about it, then you guys will be fine in 2014". But Nakamura said that "I feel like I'm losing (to Kikuchi) today", showing how she's dissatisfied with how the talk is proceeding.

Kikuchi said, "But Anne-chan, you did well in your own right!", seemingly looking down on Nakamura. The Shabekuri members then fanned the flame further and said, "Wow, you just seemed so condescending there! If you were to give her a score, how many points would you give?". Kikuchi candidly answered this and said, "I think she's scored about half (average). And it's alright since I myself have gotten above the half mark". Nakamura who was already teary-eyed at that point started crying and said, "Did I just turn into the villain here?".

There was also a moment in the program where Nakamura revealed that "Ami-chan is very familiar with other people (on other programs)", to which Kikuchi said, "Don't make it sound like I'm doing sexual favors!". The Shabekuri hosts then started doubting her, to which she replied, "There's no way I would! I'm protecting that aspect!".

Kikuchi joined Idoling!!! in April of 2008. She had a low profile for a while until she finally got her break since guesting on variety shows last year.

"She has become popular due to her inherent cheerfulness as well as how she talks in a carefree manner. She's technically an idol, but she doesn't mind it at all even if she's referred to as a variety show talent." - (showbiz staff)

Kikuchi's group, like AKB48, does not allow their members to be involved in romantic relationships, however, "There are rumors going around the industry that she's already had a relationship with over half of the members of a certain Johnny's group.
