The Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization (BPO) and their committee on the youth and broadcasting have decided not to subject NTV's drama Ashita, Mama ga inai into further deliberation.
The BPO did comment that "dramas need to be more considerate towards the various institutions concerned" but also said "it will also be a problem if this will make the handling of delicate matters more difficult", and thus decided to drop the investigation on the said program. The head of the committee will be releasing an official comment soon regarding this.

Programs with themes about handicapped people or the weak are normally supervised by organizations. Looks like NTV didn't want to go to that extent and were just cheapskates.
Because the complainants just made noise on their own

The BPO just said that the late night anime was too vulgar. They made enemies out of someone they shouldn't have.

One may associate Jikei Hospital with "Post" but it's not like they were portrayed as the villains.
And they've even had a disclaimer here that everything's fictional.

The drama was actually pretty good.
Ashita mama was a pretty good drama. I wouldn't have watched it if it wasn't for all the news that was made about it, so thanks for rousing it up.
