According to the current issue of Shukan Josei, Inohara's "Asaichi castle" spans 300 sqm, with 2 floors and a basement. He started having his house renovated to prepare for the birth of his second child with wife Asaka Seto (37). The living, dining, and kitchen which were on the 2nd floor have been moved to the 1st floor as they are having a new children's room created.
And the reason why they can afford to have their home renovated is because of his prosperous career. Asaichi has consistently been running away with the ratings compared to the other programs in the same time slot, as Inohara's popularity has been soaring up high.
"The salary at NHK is much lower compared to what others are getting at commercial networks. Inohara only earns \800,000 per episode which isn't a lot, but that still amounts to 4 million a week and 200 million a year. He's also in a number of commercials which net him 1 million to 5 million per appearance.
