Natsuna reveals that she has just gotten over the mixed reactions about Jun to Ai

1: 声なき声に力を ★@\(^o^)/:2014/06/27(金) 21:20:02.81 ID:???0.net
Natsuna was chosen as the heroine of NHK's morning drama Jun to Ai in October 2012, and was at the center of all the criticisms. Once they wrapped up, Natsuna revealed that she was "on the verge of a breakdown" on her blog, and it was only recently when she has managed to get over her failures.

Natsuna looks back and says: "I wasn't just just on the verge of depression, I literally broke down. There were a lot of mixed reactions to the drama even while it was on air, even after it ended, and I felt like I was living through all those criticisms which were aimed at me. Those were really tough times.".

Jun to Ai's ratings averaged 17.1%, and isn't exactly bad when you compare it to others in the past 10 years. But it came after Umechan Sensei, a drama that averaged over 20% -- a feat that wasn't achieved in the 18 series that preceded it -- and was succeeded by Amachan, a drama that became a social phenomenon, which in effect highlighted Jun to Ai's shortcomings further.

"I literally didn't want to do anything after we finished shooting, and had no motivation at all. Even if I did do something, I didn't have the confidence as I was paranoid that everyone will still think that I'm 'the girl who had a mixed reception in the morning drama'. I didn't want to appear in front of people too much at that time. I even considered seeking medical attention." She was afraid of taking the next step, but the core fans of Jun to Ai helped her suppress all the negativity.

This was at her handshake event to commemorate the release of her picture book last January. "I read all those letters they compiled from the core fans of Jun to Ai. I went home, read them, and choked since I cried so much... But that made me feel refreshed and helped me move on."

V6 Yoshihiko Inohara has his house renovated

1: かばほ~るφ ★@\(^o^)/:2014/05/28(水) 11:40:27.22 ID:???0.net
V6's Yoshihiko Inohara (38), host of NHK's morning infomercial show Asaichi is apparently having his home renovated.

According to the current issue of Shukan Josei, Inohara's "Asaichi castle" spans 300 sqm, with 2 floors and a basement. He started having his house renovated to prepare for the birth of his second child with wife Asaka Seto (37). The living, dining, and kitchen which were on the 2nd floor have been moved to the 1st floor as they are having a new children's room created.

And the reason why they can afford to have their home renovated is because of his prosperous career. Asaichi has consistently been running away with the ratings compared to the other programs in the same time slot, as Inohara's popularity has been soaring up high.

"The salary at NHK is much lower compared to what others are getting at commercial networks. Inohara only earns \800,000 per episode which isn't a lot, but that still amounts to 4 million a week and 200 million a year. He's also in a number of commercials which net him 1 million to 5 million per appearance. Inohara has been very popular with the housewives, and will continue to earn steadily." - (TV station insider)

Anne and Masahiro Higashide went on an "overnight date" (Josei Seven)

1: 変えてみよう ★@\(^o^)/:2014/05/15(木) 08:59:17.19 ID:???0.net
Anne (28) and Masahiro Higashide (26), who portrayed a married couple in NHK's morning drama Gochisousan, had a "sleepover date", as reported by Josei Seven. According to the article, after the two had drinks and dinner at a bar within the metro, they spent the night over at Anne's place. The article also featured a comment made by a regular customer of the bar that goes: "(Higashide) is ready to get married anytime".

The pair was seen shopping together during the New Year, but their respective agencies denied the relationship back then. This time, Anne's agency commented: "We're leaving private matters up to her", while Higashide's agency said: "We cannot give out any comments regarding his private life", as both sides did not deny the report.

V6's Ken Miyake learning sign language for a deaf girl who came to the handshake event

1: 禿の月φ ★ 2014/03/17 18:36:15
V6's Ken Miyake expressed his regrets in dealing with a fan. Miyake, who has been appointed as the "navigator" in NHK's new program Minna no Shuwa (beginning on April 6), was in Shibuya's NHK for the presscon of the program.

Miyake revealed that he has studied how to do sign language because: "A deaf girl came to our handshake event, and she tried to converse with me through sign language. I couldn't understand it all, and I didn't know how to respond. That, for me, was a regret.". After that, he attended a once-a-week, 2 hours per session course to specifically learn sign language.

When Miyake was asked what the other members thought about this, he commented: "The other members knew that I was learning sign language, and they congratulated me on getting this project". He also received heartwarming comments from fans such as, "I'll also study sign language thanks to this".

He also voiced out the trouble that he's been experiencing with the filming and says: "Sign language is very limited, and I'm always having difficulty in choosing the appropriate Japanese words for the signs." Finally, his message to the viewers: "It'll be difficult for the viewers if they start thinking, 'I have to study! I have to study!', so I think that it's important to enjoy yourself while learning".

Rena Nounen to appear in NHK's Great Tohoku Disaster concert

UPDATE: 2chan's new "global moderator" JIM-san has revealed that there is actually no reproduction/copy ban (there were just a few misunderstandings between him and his moderators) so we will be bringing back the old format soon :) We're just away for the weekend and already have a stash of posts with this new format scheduled for the next 2-3 days. Thanks for all your feedback and concern, and as always, thanks for reading!

Actress Rena Nounen will be participating in NHK's Shinsai kara 3-nen "Ashita he" concert (3 years from the disaster "On to Tomorrow" concert) which will be broadcast live on the 10th from the NHK Hall. Nounen will be making a VTR appearance. Also slated for an appearance is Sochi Olympics gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu.

Nounen paid a visit to a high school photographer who has continuously taken pictures of Miyagi prefecture's Ishinomaki city throughout this time to document all the changes the city has undergone. Nounen comments: "I thought that this high school student who kept on taking photographs of his hometown was wonderful, as he was determined to do something in his own little way. It once again made me feel that I should also face whatever challenge that comes my way without turning back. And this was also my first time to take pictures with other people so I really had fun. Now I'm in love with Ishinomaki's ocean and mountains.".

SMAP's Masahiro Nakai and NHK's Yumiko Udo will be hosting the event, as Sayuri Ishikawa, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Masashi Sada, Toshiyuki Nishida, Chisato Moritaka, AKB48, SMAP, Kobukuro, Yuzu, and Kis-My-Ft2 will all be participating.

Charlotte passed the auditions and won the right to be NHK's first ever foreign lead for their morning drama.

This morning drama will be NHK's 91st and will be shown after Yuriko Yoshitaka's Hanako to Anne, which will begin on the 31st of this month.

Daisuke Habara, winner of the exceptional screenplay award at the Japanese Academy Awards for the movie Pacchigi!, and the best screenplay award from the same award-giving body for the movie Hula Girl is in charge of the screenplay. AKB's Minami Takahashi and her mature arguments at a debate on NHK

1: 匿名 2014/01/12(日) 16:29:20
(Partial translation)
AKB48's general manager Minami Takahashi took part in the debate with the theme "The young generation now do not have dreams?" and started off with the words: "I personally think that the 'start button' of your life and ultimately your future will drastically change depending on the adults you become acquainted with".

She looked back at the time when she just joined AKB when all the members were worried as they could not see any future, nor where they were headed to. She continued that this was the time when AKB48's general producer Yasushi Akimoto told them, "Let's participate in NHK's Kouhaku Uta Gassen", "Let's perform at the Budoukan" -- huge goals which she she said "gave them the drive to persevere".

"We got encouraged by the words the adults gave us on our way to those goals and made us go, 'I see!'. Some people will break when they meet adults who tell them they're 'no good', and in contrast, people will grow further if they're told 'you can do it'."

When they started tackling the theme about employment issues, a studio participant said that: "It's easier for young people to break down when you make them do difficult jobs", to which Takahashi sympathized by saying, "I know that there are a lot of young people who have a hard time continuing their jobs", especially after seeing such people at her handshake events.

Takahashi mentioned that the young people would tell her, "I started a new job, but it's so tough", and "I'm thinking of quitting my job", to which she would usually respond and cheer them up by saying, "No, that's not good".

From these experiences, Takahashi gave her tough opinion on the youth today by stating: "Work is not something that you can easily obtain, and results won't come unless you keep at it. I really think that there are a lot of young people right now who can't move forward unless you give them a nudge on their backs".

Yuriko Yoshitaka wants to host the Kouhaku together with Yukie Nakama

1: 禿の月φ ★ 2014/01/07(火) 14:17:30.00 ID:???P
Actresses Yuriko Yoshitaka and Yukie Nakama were at a studio in Yokohama for the press conference of NHK's upcoming morning drama Hanako to Anne.

Yoshitaka was asked what she would do if ever she was offered to host the Kouhaku to which she replied: "If I'm the host, I think things would turn into a mess. And when that time comes, I would like to host it together with Nakama-san".

Nakama, looking a bit perplexed, smiled and answered back, "If I do get invited, I will do my best to help and support her, though...".

Yoshitaka also said that she's having trouble speaking in English in some of the scenes. "It's a good learning experience for me, but I want it to end as soon as possible... I become discouraged with the English-speaking parts".

The presscon was also atended by Miyoko Asada (housemother of her dorm in Tokyo), Rie Tomosaka (English Teacher) and Rin Takanashi (classmate).

Will this year's Gunshi Kanbee be able to break the spell of struggling Taiga dramas?

1: れいおφ ★ 2014/01/02(木) 09:54:22.19 ID:???0
The NHK Taiga drama Gunshi Kanbee will begin on January 5 with V6 member Junichi Okada as the lead.

The main charater Kanbee Kuroda was a tactician under Hideyoshi Toyotomi. He is also a war general whom Hitoshi Matsumoto of Downtown has expressed admiration for on TV and radio.

Dramas which were set in the sengoku era, or the "warring states period", have historically done well. 1987's Dokuganryuu got an average rating of 39.7%, first all-time among Taiga dramas. Other dramas set in the sengoku era are 1988's Takeda Shingen (2nd all-time), 1965's Taikouki, 1983's Tokugawa Ieyasu and 1996's Hideyoshi -- all of which got over 30% for the yearly averages and is said to be the empirical way for Taiga dramas.

This was preceded by Yae no Sakura starring Haruka Ayase, which began broadcast in January 6, 2013. It got 21.4% for the first episode, but ratings gradually declined as the finale only got 16.6%. The average for the entire drama was 14.6%, 4th lowest of all time.

Taiga dramas of recent years have been struggling, the most notable is 2012's Taira no Kiyomori which featured Kenichi Matsuyama. This had the worst average of all-time for a Taiga drama with 12.0%. Looking at the Taiga dramas for the past years, 7 out of the 10 have had averages below 20%, excluding Yukie Nakama's Koumyou ga Tsuji (2006), Aoi Miyazaki's Atsuhime (2008), and Satoshi Tsumabuki's Tenchijin (2009). Even Masaharu Fukuyama's Ryōmaden only got 18.7%.

Broadcasting Accident? Haruka Ayase's blunders as a host at the Kouhaku

1: アトミックドロップ(大阪府) 2013/12/31(火) 22:11:27.99 ID:NTaXesvj0
▼ Says something mysterious at the start: "It's as if the NHK hall is alive".

▼ Forgets her lines while introducing Ayumi Hamasaki, just says: "Hai... hai..." and stops there.

▼ When introducing NMB48, she couldn't pronounce the name "Enu Emu Bee" properly and chokes on her words.

▼ Pronounces "Hatsu shutsujou" *(first time performance) as "Hatsu shuchujou".

▼ Couldn't react well to Akihiro Miwa's foreign language and chooses to ignore it.

▼ Asks Ryotaro Sugi "Sugi-san Ikaga desu ka?" *(How do you find it, Sugi-san?), judge and husband of singer Natsuko Godai, the same question 2x, before and after his wife's performance and draws a weird reaction from him.

▼ Forgets the name of Yoshimi Tendo's song

▼ Sings "Hana wa saku" → reduced to tears

▼ Because Ayase cried, Tekken's bit had to be cut from the program as they shifted to the news report.

▼ When introducing aiko's song, she said "aiko-san's Momo..." instead of "aiko-san's Loveletter".

▼ She doesn't look at the camera too much, leaving a lot of viewers feeling anxious and worried.

NHK's public relations comments on Yuko Oshima's graduation announcement

1: 三毛猫φ ★ 2014/01/01(水) 00:26:02.54 ID:???0
NHK's public relations gave their comments about Yuko Oshima's announcement of her graduation from AKB48 at the live broadcast of the 64th Kouhaku Uta Gassen on the 31st.

NHK's public relations representative looked surprised and commented, "We at NHK were not informed about this", after AKB48's performance when a reporter asked for comments.

Yuko Oshima suddenly announced her graduation from AKB48 in between songs of their medley.
"This will be my last time performing at the Kouhaku Uta Gassen like this", as they performed AKB's trademark song "Heavy Rotation" with Oshima as the center. Minami Takahashi and Rino Sashihara were in tears during the performance, but Oshima kept smiling throughout the performance. She did seem to have watery eyes during the final pose of the song.

Gochisousan may be doing well, but Anne is apparently irritated at...

1: 急所攻撃(兵庫県) 2013/12/21(土) 21:15:24.89 ID:3mUKbjAi0
Anne (27) and her co-star Masahiro Higashide (25), both starring in NHK's morning drama Gochisousan are apparently not on good terms.

"Honestly, the two are in an awkward situation. When the ratings are this high, everyone would normally be all smiles on location, but this isn't the case with Gochisousan. Anne is always irritated right from start to finish. And the more the ratings go up, the more she becomes grumpy. The staff are about to give up due to all the negative vibe that Anne has been emitting these past few weeks. And naturally, Higashide gets isolated because of this." - (program insider)

Gochisousan's ratings have constantly been going up, as it has exceeded 21% for 10 weeks and counting, easily breaking Amachan's average of 20.6% in the process. And NHK's offices are in a festive mood because of this.

"The ruckus that this has made far exceeds that of Amachan. NHK executives have been going to Osaka's studio day in and day out to bring presents and sweets. It's really all thanks to Anne." - (NHK representative)

But what really is in Anne's heart?

"She's disgusted at her partner, Higashide. Anne had to take the initiative during early stages of filming due to Higashide's inexperience." - (drama representative)
And Anne's attitude changed from November when there were rumors about her romantic involvement with Higashide on the Internet.

"Higashide stands 189cm tall, Anne is 174cm, and they really make a good couple... There were reports that the two were dating. She apparently heard this from a staff, and she just lost it." - (showbiz pro staff)

Akiko Wada reveals the backstage situation at the Kouhaku: "I use Arashi's or Nakai's toilet"

1: :禿の月φ 2013/12/03 13:32:20
Akiko Wada, who has become a staple at NHK's Kouhaku Uta Gassen, has revealed some secrets about what goes on behind the stage of the year-end event.

It is said that there are more or less 300 people participating in the Kouhaku this year which will be held on the 31st of December. All singers aspire to go up on the stage of the NHK hall during the last day of the year, but the venue isn't what one could particularly call "huge." So how do the performers get around backstage?

This topic was featured in Wada's program Akko ni omakase! last December 1. There are apparently 7 dressing rooms at the NHK hall.

The 1st dressing room is used by the male host(s), which means that Arashi will be utilizing this again this year. The 2nd dressing room is allocated for the female host, which means this will go to Haruka Ayase. The 3rd dressing room is reserved for the most distinguished male singers such as Saburo Kitajima, Hiroshi Itsuki, and the like, while the 4th dressing room is reserved for the female singers such as Akiko Wada, Yoshimi Tendo, etc.

E-Girls to perform at the Kouhaku this year

1: かばほ~るφ ★ 2013/11/24(日) 12:03:33.79 ID:???0
Note: (Date of article: Nov. 24, before the official announcement. We'll have the official announcement thread soon)
EXILE's sister group E-Girls are confirmed to have received the unofficial notice that they will be joining the lineup of this year's NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen.

They have won the right to perform at the Kouhaku ahead of the other girl groups. Their 3rd single "Follow Me" ranked 2nd in last year's Oricon weekly charts which marked their breakthrough. They released their first album Lesson 1 last April and ranked 1st in the weekly rankings.

AKB and MomoClo are expected to take part in the event with NMB48 also looking likely to participate. A lot of girls' dreams were shattered along the way, but those who have survived the EXILE family's rigorous singing and dancing training regime have gone on to form the E-Girls in 2011.

One condition to participate in the Kouhaku is how much the group has contributed to NHK. They have been able to appear as hosts on NHK's E-Tele program Aoyama Wansegu Kaihatsu (Fridays 00:30), taking over the hosting duties from MomoClo.

In October of this year, the E-Girls' central figure Ami (25) commented: "We want to participate in the Kouhaku and make people more aware of the E-Girls. We want to fulfill our dreams."

The girls, who have inherited EXILE's spirit, will now be making their gracious performance on the stage of their dreams.
