A self-proclaimed talent gets arrested for stealing leotards worth over JPY 1 million

The metropolitan police department announced the arrest of self-proclaimed talent Misaki Hashikawa (22) at Tokyo's Setagawa-ku, Sakurajousui for allegedly stealing a large number of leotards. Hashikawa admits to the crime, and comments: "I had my regrets to leotards as I used to be a gymnast. I also sold off some of the ones that I stole".

According to the Ikebukuro police station, Hashikawa entered a leotard specialty store in Toshima-ku's Ikebukuro Honcho 1-Chome at 2 pm on January 20 last year and lied by saying "I'm a student of a sports university". She brought 40 leotards used for gymnastics and figure skating to the dressing room, and was suspected of shoplifting 22 pieces (amounting to \1.01 million) by putting them in a bag and left the shop afterwards, telling the people there "I'm just going to make a phone call" and did not return.

It was discovered that the stolen goods were auctioned off on the Internet around July last year, and the account holder was Hashikawa. Hashikawa is not under any talent agency, but has previously worked as a model for photo shoots.

Cha Kato's wife Ayana's online fashion shop "Pe" being accused of fraud, resells cheap products as her own brand

Cha Kato's wife Ayana Kato runs an accessory brand called "Pe" (from Kato's nickname "Katochanpe").
People have now started to accuse her of reselling accessories which can be bought cheaply overseas for a few thousand yen.

According to an accessory business related official, it's not unusual for accessories without brand markings to be re-sold. Pe also didn't indicate that these accessories were made by them. Even when Cha Kato introduced the accessories his wife sells, he didn't clearly say that these were original products by Ayana.

The site explains that "Accessory craftsmen create each single part with utmost care". There was also a blog entry on September 21 stating, "We have also made earrings". When people started questioning this, they changed it to "We are selling earrings" without any further explanation.

The address indicated in the website is the same as Kato's "Office Cha". We tried reaching them for comments but no one answered their phone.
