Jin Akanishi stays behind in Meisa Kuroki's dressing room and takes care of their baby (Josei Seven)

Jin Akanishi (29) left his agency at the end of February and is currently working as a freelancer. He has had a few projects like providing songs for a Korean group, but he has practically had a lot of free time since going independent, and has reportedly been drinking with his friends until late at night and goes home to a hotel room, as his relationship with wife Meisa Kuroki (25) was seemingly on the rocks.

"Meisa-san still had a lot of job offers even after her maternity leave, but Akanishi-san hasn't been working, nor taking care of their baby, and just kept getting drunk day in and day out... Because of the husband acting like this, there was a time when she would let her parents back home in Okinawa take care of their baby when she would have to leave their home for an extended period of time for filming." - (Meisa's acquanintance)

It won't be a surprise if the gap between a bum and a busy, in-demand working mom widens because of this, and they did seem to be heading towards that direction, but there were reports that Akanishi's stance has changed, probably because he witnessed how cold his wife can be. This was in late March, in a studio within the city where Meisa was filming her scenes.

"It was Meisa's shoot, but Akanishi-san was also in the studio for some reason. He was in Meisa's dressing room the whole time, taking care of the baby. He would hold the baby up high, wipe off her drool, and even feed her baby food using a spoon... He was totally an ikumen*. (laughs)" - (Showbiz staff)

"They also looked like they had a lot of fun conversations during breaks from the filming."

The two were also spotted in mid-April at Minami Aoyama. 

"They must've been coming home from shopping, and Akanishi-san was carrying all the grocery and shopping bags. It seemed like he couldn't go against and face Meisa-san properly anymore..." - (witness)

When Akanishi left the agency, he commented, "I want to be more active with my international career", but it appears that he doesn't even have a manager yet, and it can't be said that he's started off his new career on a fine note.

"Akanishi-san probably can't even have a proper living right now if he breaks up with Meisa. He must've come to the conclusion to be a 'house-husband' until his own career gets back on track." - (Meisa's acquaintance)

Mr. Johnny insists: "I have not met with him. We didn't even talk on the phone.". On the reason why Akanishi left, Johnny said, "All he wants to do is pursue his career in the US", pointing out that this is different from Johnny's policy of giving more emphasis on their activities within Japan. He also gave his understanding that "It's just natural for one to do whatever he wants to do". Finally, Johnny joked and said, "He's a person who will succeed (in the US), as long as he maintains a good relationship with his wife (Meisa Kuroki)."

"There were already rumors a month ago that Akanishi-san won't be renewing his contract with his agency. Jin Akanishi (29) has decided to leave Johnny's Entertainment after fulfilling his contract which ran up to February 28. According to music industry insiders, there's already talk that his next destination has already been decided. He's also said on his personal Facebook and Twitter accounts that he would like to partake in more activities overseas. 

"His close friends are worried about him, but Akanishi insists that he's alright because he still has some savings left. He did feel confident that he can make an impact after his US debut single back in 2011 ranked #1 on the iTunes Dance Charts, and says that he has the connections which he has established in 2006 when he studied in LA. But in reality, his single sales back then were thanks in large part to the support given to him by his fans in Japan..." - (music industry representative)

This insider continues: "It's a given that he wants to become an artist in the US, but he's also aggressively thinking about collaborating with other US artists and making music as well. Not just that, he's also revealed that he intends to run a club or a bar in LA where even his friends can hang out."

Akanishi got married to actress Meisa Kuroki (25) in February 2012. They have a daughter who is now about 1 and a half years old, but he definitely needs to consider them as well if he plans on moving to the US.

"It seems that Kuroki-san is getting irritated at how her husband doesn't seem to have a direction in life. Her husband has always insisted that he wants to live in LA, but she will be having a drama in April and has several other projects lined up after that, making her schedule packed for the year. If they do move to the US, then she will have to reconsider her career in Japan so she won't be able to agree to this plan that easily. Hiro Mizushima talks about his feelings towards his comeback movie "Kuroshitsuji"

Hiro Mizushima was in Tokyo on the 9th along with the other cast members of the movie Kuroshitsuji (in cinemas 1/18) for its Japan Premiere. In front of the 2,000 people in attendance, Mizushima, who was also a co-producer of the movie, commented: "I've always tried to avoid talking about my true thoughts and intentions in places like this, but lend me your ears. I want to win in this battle!".

"It's been 2 and a half years since we started this project. It took half a year to prepare for the part and 1 month for filming, for a total of 7 months. I spent a lot of time for this. I have truly given my all, both as a creator and as an actor, for this movie, which is precisely why I'm thinking that this is my battle of whether or not it will get recognition. I want to win this battle!".

"I turned down the role numerous times, but I did feel that I was a fool for doing so. I'm sure that everyone (other cast members) have their next projects lined up, but this is the only one I have. I wish that this becomes a hit! Please look out for Kuroshitsuji!"

Ayame Gouriki who plays the role of a boy comments: "I'm really happy to be a part of Mizushima-san's comeback project. Mizushima-san helped pull us up and supported us". When asked about how she felt about her role as a boy: "The cast is full of ikemens, so I closely observed everyone to try and incorporate something into my part".

The movie is an original story, set 130 years after the manga.

EXILE wins the grand prize at the Japan Record Awards for 2013; show rates 17.6%

EXILE's "EXILE PRIDE ~Konna Sekai wo Ai suru tame~" won the grand prize at the 55th Japan Record Awards, their 4th time in history and first since last winning the award in 2010 for their song "I wish for you". This has become the crowning glory for their leader HIRO who retires from performing effective the end of 2013.

The song was released in April of 2013 and reached a million copies sold by November 18. This is their first single that has exceeded over a million in sales.

The year-ender awarding ceremony was broadcast for 4 and a half hours on TBS on the 30th of December at the National Theatre Playhouse in Tokyo, with announcer Shinichiro Azumi and HIRO's wife Aya Ueto as the hosts.

The 55th Japan Record Awards which was broadcast on December 30 from 7 pm to 10 pm got 17.6% (Kanto region, Video Research), a 1-point increase from the previous year which was thanks in part to the first appearance together onstage of Aya Ueto and HIRO after tying the knot.

Masato Sakai: "It was an unfulfilling year"

Actor Masato Sakai, who was in two hit dramas this year, Hanzawa Naoki and Legal High 2, talked about his feelings as he looked back at 2013.

"This was a year wherein I just kept talking and talking. I have never talked this much in a year. Like a monk in training, memorizing his sutra and reciting it over and over, each and every single day. I just kept reciting the lines given to me, from right to left..."

"This really was a dry and unfulfilling year. Nothing was left. It was a year in which I just gave away everything that I have received, and nothing has been left with me. If I was able to convey this to the viewers, then that makes me really happy."

Aya Ueto to host the Japan Record Awards, her first time together onstage with her husband HIRO

Actress Aya Ueto (28) has been selected to host the 55th Annual Japan Record Awards (TBS - 12/30). This will be her 2nd time hosting the event, the first one being in 2008.

Her husband since September of last year HIRO (44) and his group EXILE have already won as one of the "Best Song" awardees for their song "EXILE PRIDE ~Konna sekai wo ai suru tame~" and are in the running to win the grand prize. The TV station is still "currently under negotiations with EXILE" concerning their participation in the said event, but HIRO will be focusing on his work as president and producing for LDH come next year, and will definitely make his grand appearance here so that everyone can send him off with a bang. It seems that we'll finally see the couple together in public for the first time since they got married.

V6 Yoshihiko Inohara (37) and Actress Asaka Seto (36) welcomed their second child on the afternoon of the 22nd. Both mother and daughter are healthy.

This was informed by the couple through FAX on the 24th. Inohara's comment on the FAX was: "I pray that she'll look like my wife. All 4 of us in the family will live on happily without forgetting the feeling of gratitude".

Cha Kato's wife Ayana Kato runs an accessory brand called "Pe" (from Kato's nickname "Katochanpe").
People have now started to accuse her of reselling accessories which can be bought cheaply overseas for a few thousand yen.

According to an accessory business related official, it's not unusual for accessories without brand markings to be re-sold. Pe also didn't indicate that these accessories were made by them. Even when Cha Kato introduced the accessories his wife sells, he didn't clearly say that these were original products by Ayana.

The site explains that "Accessory craftsmen create each single part with utmost care". There was also a blog entry on September 21 stating, "We have also made earrings". When people started questioning this, they changed it to "We are selling earrings" without any further explanation.

The address indicated in the website is the same as Kato's "Office Cha". We tried reaching them for comments but no one answered their phone.

According to Shuukan Josei, Shunsuke Kazama's wife is apparently Kazuna Kawamura, a former talent who was previously linked with Ken Miyake of V6.

The 2 met on the set of Claudia which was produced by the theater group Chikyuu Gorgeous in 2004. Claudia was staged from 2004~2005 and was a huge turning point in Kazama's showbiz career.

Kawamura was formerly an assistant or "Won-girl" (Wonderful Girls)" in Wonderful, a late night program shown on TBS. She was part of the program from 2001.
She's focused mainly on stage acting in recent years as a member of the Benibara Usagi Troupe.

Shuukan Josei also revealed that Kawamura was found to have had a relationship with Ken Miyake in June of 2010. Miyake lost his mother who raised him singlehandedly at that time, but Kawamura was apparently the one who was supporting him through those difficult times. The magazine included a picture of the two leaving Miyake's apartment standing closely to each other two days after his mother's funeral.

Both parties denied the reports at that time. Shuukan Josei asked Kawamura's agency about Kazama. The agency responded:
"I think it was around the beginning of spring this year when she requested, 'I'm going to get married so please release me from my contract'. We knew that she was in a relationship, but we only recently found out about her plans to get married."
When asked about Miyake: "We heard that he's one of her friends."

Shuukan Josei also asked Kawamura's father; Keiji Takasugi who is the president of BMI.
"No, don't ask me anything about that. Please direct all your questions at Johnny's. That's our deal."

About Kazama: "Of course I've met him. He's a splendid man. And he was able to get married because he's splendid. (About the ceremony) That's their issue, and I have not received any word concerning that."
