Jin Akanishi (29) has decided to leave Johnny's Entertainment after fulfilling his contract which ran up to February 28. According to music industry insiders, there's already talk that his next destination has already been decided. He's also said on his personal Facebook and Twitter accounts that he would like to partake in more activities overseas.
"His close friends are worried about him, but Akanishi insists that he's alright because he still has some savings left. He did feel confident that he can make an impact after his US debut single back in 2011 ranked #1 on the iTunes Dance Charts, and says that he has the connections which he has established in 2006 when he studied in LA. But in reality, his single sales back then were thanks in large part to the support given to him by his fans in Japan..." - (music industry representative)
This insider continues: "It's a given that he wants to become an artist in the US, but he's also aggressively thinking about collaborating with other US artists and making music as well. Not just that, he's also revealed that he intends to run a club or a bar in LA where even his friends can hang out."
Akanishi got married to actress Meisa Kuroki (25) in February 2012. They have a daughter who is now about 1 and a half years old, but he definitely needs to consider them as well if he plans on moving to the US.
"It seems that Kuroki-san is getting irritated at how her husband doesn't seem to have a direction in life. Her husband has always insisted that he wants to live in LA, but she will be having a drama in April and has several other projects lined up after that, making her schedule packed for the year. If they do move to the US, then she will have to reconsider her career in Japan so she won't be able to agree to this plan that easily. It's either he convinces her to come with him, or they go their separate ways." - (TV station representative)
Articles like this may actually have the opposite effect on these people and they'll surprisingly be successful.
Well, the true winners will eventually have the last laugh.
And you won't be able to grab the American dream if you're not a bit crazy and if you don't have the ambition.
...But majority of those who challenge still fail, though.
It's better to get divorced soon w
Will fans also go to his bar?
Go export the Eternals together with you
Still no Eternal yet?
You married Akanishi because you like him for being like this, right?
Will the place be called ETERNAL?
Hurry up and get divorced
Can't blame the wifey for getting disappointed if the husband, who has a kid, is planning to do stuff like these
> His US debut single back in 2011 ranked #1 on the iTunes Dance Charts
I'm here to see Eternal-san, but dumbfounded that it still hasn't made its appearance yet
But this guy has nothing going on for him other than his looks.
Can't be helped because he's so cool and handsome~
Kuroki's agency might be the ones hoping that they get divorced the most
Akanishi: "Because I always want to live life on the edge..."
Typical example of a guy who doesn't see his own standing (wry smile)
He's not at fault here if he intends to pursue this seriously.
If he does manage to succeed, I'd actually respect him more than the talents who are eating off the industry. w
Well, it does seem like the only thing that Akanishi can do is run a club.
That's why this is a pretty realistic dream if you ask me.
Meisa used to be such a fine woman, though...
You guys must know the group who'll be backing this guy up...
Making these Johnny's talents who played all around Roppongi have their own clubs is not a big deal for these backers, and even if he goes on and does it in America, all they have to do is earn it back here locally.
It's Meisa's role to support his private life after all.
She should go with him to the US.
I think this will make him finally realize how powerful Johnny's really is.
He might still be under the impression that everything up to now was because of his own abilities.
Why does this guy think that he'll be popular overseas?
There are loads of people who are more handsome, who are better in English, better singers, and guys with better sense than him. He just happened to be with Johnny's and climbed up thanks to that agency's authority.
How in the world did he get the confidence to consider abandoning his work and go overseas?
Well, it'd be impossible to work in the frontlines in showbiz like he was doing so up to now so there's no more choice for him but to go into the dining business
Hotdog stands are also included in the "dining business", right?
Meisa used to be such an outstanding prospect thanks to her unique and mysterious beauty.
If she's conveniently thinking about living in LA and earn a few there, then she should also look at how Miho and Ayu have failed. Your aura as an actress will fade in an instant if you don't devote yourself to it daily.
He's so dumb, he's a man who's got nothing going on for him other than his looks.
But reality is that majority of the men out there have lower lives than him.
Eisaku Yoshida, Seiko Matsuda, Hikaru Utada, BoA
Any other talents who failed in the US?
I've been a fan even before he made his debut, but I'm not really going insane.
He did say that he wanted to get married and have a kid.
I've already gotten used to Jin pushing us fans around.
He's that kind of a man, but I like him so it can't be helped.
Jin is the unconventional type too.
Meisa should just support his private life.
Because we'll be supporting Jin's Music=Soul.
And that soul will be handed down to my children, then from my children to my grandchildren.
That's how my DNA will blend in with Jin's.
That's the "Eternal" between Jin and his fans.

But this guy recently went to Hawaii with his family and served them properly!
Tweet of some guy

Jin Akanishi and Meisa Kuroki just came in while I was having my meal.
Meisa was carrying the baby while she eating, and they were with someone who is thought to be Meisa's older sister and her child. Akanishi carried everyone's buffet plates.
No one would think that they'd come to a buffet restaurant, and there were no such fans who'd make a fuss about them in the restaurant. They also came as a group. Meisa Kuroki's older sister and her child was there too.
Kuroki faced towards the front and ate quietly. Jin Akanishi, contrary to his looks, was like a regular dad on his rest day.
He would look at the eyes of his relative's children as he spoke to them, and was a handsome fellow who did his best to serve them by getting napkins, hand towels, or drinks.
I don't think other talents and friends will be able to go to the place if it's not located in Japan
Maybe this means that he'll go off to America and play while deepending on Kuroki to send him money?
When you look at him now, it's hard to understand why he became popular.
Did he lose his aura? He's still young, though.
This guy was actually one of the better singers and dancers in Johnny's.
When asked, "Who's the best dancer in Johnny's?",
a lot actually mentioned Akanishi's name.
But... the thing is that this was limited to within Johnny's...
Maybe that's where he got the wrong idea.
If he's opening a store, he should do so in Japan so that his fans can become regulars. That way, I think he'll also earn quite a lot. And if he names it ETERNAL, then that will at least make you guys happy so you cane make fun of it at least once.
