hitomi (38), who is celebrating her 20th year in the industry, has collaborated with dance/vocal group MAX for the video of her new song "Barayume". This was all made possible thanks to the suggestion of producer Osamu Suzuki (41). hitomi made her debut in 1995 when she was 19 with "CANDY GIRL", and this new song is supposed to be the answer to that debut single. hitomi was also the one who composed the lyrics to "Barayume".
Osamu Suzuki's concept of the video is "to educate these herbivorous men on how cool women around their 40s can be", which led to hitomi joining forces with MAX to form a girl band in the MV. MAX members LINA (37) man the drums, NANA (37) is on the keyboard, while MINA (36) is on the percussion. There are also scenes in the video where the women are eating sukiyaki, implying that they are "carnivores".
