Downtown denies discord rumors with Tunnels... "We haven't even been together on programs"

1: 2014/04/07(月) 20:24:16.07 ID:???0
On the program HEY!HEY!HEY! MUSIC CHAMP - HEY!HEY!HEY! 2014 Chou Gouka Artist ni gorigori karamimashita SP "Spring", SMAP asked Downtown about all those discord rumors surrounding them and two other comedy duos Tunnels and Bakusho Mondai following their appearance on the stage of Iitomo's grand finale. Downtown, Tunnels, and Bakusho Mondai have been rumored to have strained relationships with one another for the longest time.

Hitoshi Matsumoto and Masatoshi Hamada replied "No, no, (how can we have strained relationships when) we haven't even been together on programs", implying that they're not as conscious about this as the public.

When Matsumoto was asked about his impression of the Tunnels when they appeared with them on the finale of Iitomo, he just said, "They were literally huge! They were much taller than what I expected!".

Waratte Iitomo! airs one last time as viewers are immediately experiencing withdrawal symptoms

* The "Tamo-loss" syndrome

As Waratte Iitomo saw the curtains drop one last time on Monday, a lot of viewers have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms, so much so that this has spawned the word "Tamo-loss".

A lot of comments were quickly made on the Internet.
"The show has been on air as if it was something that's supposed to be there ever since the time that I was born. I still can't believe that this has happened."
"It's been there since I was born. I was always happy when I got to watch Iitomo on days that I did not go to school. That was how I grew up."
"32 years is such a long time. So this is how it feels when something you thought will always be there goes away. Thank you for everything up to now."
"We've watched it now across a number of different generations. I'm not sad, I just can't believe this. I still feel like it will still be on TV tomorrow."

* Tamori's final speech
The grand finale of Iitomo saw an extravagant lineup of guests, like Sayuri Yoshinaga, Sanma Akashiya, Downtown, Ucchan Nanchan, and Ninety-Nine among others, helping the program go out in style.

Tamori who has hosted the show for 32 years said: "All the viewers have given me different valuations, and given me the right to wear a lot of nice outfits. And I am truly grateful that I have been given the chance to say my thanks to everyone here.". All guests then proceeded to sing "Ukiuki WATCHING" and Tamori ended the show with his usual "So will you watch us again tomorrow?".

Ryo Fukawa criticizes KimuTaku's conversation with Prime Minister Abe on Iitomo's Telephone Shocking

1: 2014/03/24(月) 23:02:43.03 ID:???0
As Fuji TV's long-running program Iitomo is coming to an end, the program's popular segment "Telephone Shocking" has been graced with the presence of prominent guests during the final week. March 21 had Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, while March 24 saw SMAP's Takuya Kimura making his appearance in the segment.

Prime Minister Abe got to talk with the following episode's guest Kimura, about which comedian Ryo Fukawa (39) had something to say on his radio program.

* When he was told that First-lady Akie was a huge fan, he said "Ha---i, arigatou gozaimasu".

Prime Minister Abe was able to talk to the guest of the next episode, Kimura, towards the end of the segment.

Mr. Abe has previously met Kimura in person when he guested on SMAPxSMAP's segment "BISTRO SMAP" back in 2005. The Prime Minister started off by saying, "Ah, moshi-moshi, uhm, this is Shinzo Abe speaking", sounding a bit uneasy. Kimura then answered with a slight laugh in his tone, "Hello, this is Takuya Kimura".

When the Prime Minister was on BISTRO SMAP, he liked the buckwheat noodles that Kimura prepared, which eventually gave the victory to Kimura's team. Kimura remembered this and said, "Thank you very much back then. Please do come by again, this time as the Prime Minister.". Mr. Abe replied politely, "Thank you very much, let's do it again".

Upon hearing that Mr. Abe's wife, first lady Akie-san is a huge fan of Kimura-san, he just said "Ha----i, arigatou gozaimasu", and that was where their conversation ended.

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi drinks alcohol again after 5 years with Tamori

1: 2014/03/24(月) 23:18:21.20 ID:???0
SMAP's Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (39) has put an end to his abstinence from alcohol. Tamori (68), host of Waratte Iitomo, which is now on its final week after 32 years on air, guested on Fuji TV's SMAPxSMAP on the 24th, in the popular segment "Bistro SMAP".

Masahiro Nakai (41), Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori (37) have been regulars on Iitomo for a long time. Tamori is also friends with Takuya Kimura (41) and Goro Inagaki (40).

Before they judged the dishes, Tamori said, "I don't care about the outcome. Let's have a feast", and beer was brought in. As they were having a toast, Kusanagi muttered about his self-imposed ban from alcohol. Tamori then said, "It's been a long time now, you've had enough! I suppose you can have a drink already?". Kusanagi gulped down his beer and said, "So good. I'm so happy, really", and enjoyed his beer with Tamori.

Jun Kaname used to be a security guard and was actually scouted by Tamori!?

Tamori has also found a talent himself. Jun Kaname (32), who is currently in the drama Tokyo Toy Box (TV Tokyo), used to be a security guard at Studio ALTA. Tamori saw Kaname when he was in ALTA back in 1999 and invited him on Iitomo's corner where they introduce ikemens. This became Kaname's first step towards becoming an actor.
