Nogizaka46's Mai Shiraishi shows off her legs with her in a Santa costume
Nogizaka 46's Mai Shiraishi attended the opening event for Samantha Thavasa DELUXE's Omotesando GATES branch. She came wearing a mini-skirt Santa costume which fully reveals her legs as people shouted "Maiya-n!", to which she responded by smiling.
Shiraishi is currently appointed as a Samantha Muse and is in the Samantha Tiara commercial. When asked what she thought about her Santa costume, she said, "I feel embarrassed". When someone said, "It looks good on you!", she replied with a "Thank you".
When asked about how she will be spending Christmas, she replied: "We in Nogizaka ate a huge cake last year but weren't able to help ourselves to chicken. Everyone in Nogizaka really loves to eat so I hope that all of us can eat delicious food this year".

Masami Nagasawa's movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" struggling at the box office
This movie is a love story about a man and a woman in their attempt to recover from the loss of a childhood friend. The story is based on a best-selling shoujo manga and was even selected by special invitation for the Tokyo International Movie Awards. There was a lot of hype surrounding the movie prior to its release, but once it hit the silver screen, it only grossed \86 million on its first 2 days.
"It might eventually gross about \400 million in the box office. The other romance movie which was shown on the same period, Juri Ueno's Hidamari no Kanojo, has already surpassed 1.6 billion. Similarly, this is based on a best-selling novel, and has become a hit, leaving Nagasawa's movie behind." - (sports paper journalist)
Why has the movie flopped? There are also a lot of people voicing out that they do not want to see Nagasawa in a pure love story.
Masami Nagasawa's movie in 2004 Sekai no chuushin de ai wo sakebu was a major hit, amassing a total of \8.5 billion in the box office. Nagasawa appeared in numerous dramas and movies afterwards, while still carrying that clean image that she had in SekaChu. However, she has not been blessed with a major hit since.
The movie that gave her a totally different image was Moteki (2011). She went all out in this movie, as she had a deep kiss as well as a sexy scene. This path was a success for her, as she has even commanded some attention with her leg exposures in this season's Toshi Densetsu no onna 2, however...

The reason for Perfume's popularity in the West is because of their "concerts and black hair"
"Perfume's best dance album" is the label attached to this latest release, and has been off to a flying start as it debuted at number 1, their 5th consecutive album to debut at the top spot, and the first time a female group has done so in 20 years and 8 months, with Princess Princess being the last. It has been made available for download in 119 countries and regions, and ranked 1st on Japan's weekly iTunes album charts, and also placed 1st on Hong Kong's, Taiwan's, Singapore's, and Thailand's iTunes electronic album charts. It also ranked in the top 10 in 19 different countries including the US and Canada.
Due to the demands, the actual CD will also be released in 14 different countries. The digital market is greater overseas, and demands for actual CD releases like this is a rare case. In response to these demands, they will be releasing an "international version" of the album with English text in the album booklet. The DVD will also have English, Chinese, and Korean subtitles so international fans can also enjoy everything the Japanese fans have been getting.
A label representative discusses the reason for their popularity overseas. "They were already popular in Asia where people have been used to the Japanese language and kanji characters, but their popularity has spread over to the West, thanks in part to their European tour last July." He continues to analyze: "Especially in the West, people have been paying attention to their concerts that make use of the latest technology to create stunning visual effects, as well as their fashion sense. I also believe that their naturally beautiful black hair is the reason why they have appealed to Western fans."

Shoko Nakagawa pokes fun at how short her legs are
Shoko Nakagawa said that she now stands 2 cm taller at 157 cm and uploaded a photoshopped picture of herself with an extremely long torso.
