Zawachin's SMAP makeup

Zawachin updated her blog on the 10th, a day after her "SMAP makeup" was featured on SMAPxSMAP's popular segment Bistro SMAP which was aired on the 9th and expressed how grateful she was for all the praises and nice comments that she has received.

"I would truly like to thank everyone for all of your nice and warm comments, as well as all your compliments on my imitation makeup. I've been reading all your comments and Twitter posts after the broadcast, and have been crying all throughout."

She also talked about the time it took to do the makeup of all 5 members: "If I include the time that I spent to remove the makeup and my breaks in between, then I approximately took 20 hours total", while also expressing her gratitude to the program staff who helped with the filming.

Zawachin posted the picture on her blog for those who missed the program, which drew comments such as, "This really looks like the real thing! I'm surprised!", "Ehhhh!!! That's so much like SMAP-san!! OMG!".

A Johnny's talent punches a woman in the face on the JR Ikebukuro station platform

November 14 last year, Shuukan Bunshun discovered that a Johnny's talent punched a certain Ms. A (20s) in the face on the Saikyo line platform of the JR Ikebukuro station. The woman was badly wounded from this incident and required surgery. 

The name of the Johnny's talent is Hikaru Iwamoto of the group Snow Man.

"Ms. A was originally a die-hard fan of Iwamoto, and has always followed him for a couple of years now. She spent most of the money she earned from her part-time jobs to attend concerts and purchase goods. Ms. A followed him on that day as he was coming home from the rehearsal studio, which led to the talent getting irritated and punching her at the station." - (acquaintance of Ms. A)

After Ms. A was checked up at the hospital, it was discovered that the orbital floor of her right eye socket and the inner wall was fractured. Johnny's Jimusho has admitted the incident, but has yet to issue an apology.

Ayame Gouriki's hard work and efforts until she became a star

When you talk about models, it's all about their height and amazing style and figure. Unfortunately, I don't possess those (laughs).

When I was in 4th grade (10 y/o), I was about 130cm tall. I was one of the smaller kids in my year so I kept failing auditions. Not even auditions, my application forms were already being rejected at the screening process (laughs). So I decided to do something about it, and I started off with my height.

I studied books and websites and did everything that I could.

I would drink a liter of milk without fail each day, and even jumped up hard every single morning.

And because of that, I grew about 10cm when I reached middle school and was finally able to become a model for SEVENTEEN by the time I was 16.

Next up for me was dieting. I started to gain weight once I got into high school and was blatantly removed from doing fashion projects (laughs). 

This was really a mortifying experience, and I entirely stopped eating snacks after that.

There's apparently been a change in the trend among the women who visit cosmetic surgery clinics. A mid-scale clinic within Tokyo comments: "There are a lot of women who come asking us to make their face look like Gouriki-chan".

This of course refers to the actress Ayame Gouriki (21). She may be bashed on the Internet for looking like Jiro Tsunoda's manga character, but her face seems to have become a desirable one for women.

"One will be able to achieve those beautiful cat-like eyes with the double flasking method, but Gouriki-san is blessed with a lovely overall facial balance. Even if a normal person has some plastic surgery and apply some makeup, she'll just become an ugly, feline-looking girl. We try to explain that beforehand, but people still push through the operation." - (same staff)

On the flipside, the desirability of the faces of a certain foreigner-loving songstress and a certain ex-member of an idol group have gone down.

"Women who want to have surgery don't want faces that 'look like it was obviously altered' anymore, which leads to more people avoiding the looks of these two. But you still can't deny the fact that even if the overall number has decreased, there are still quite a lot of women who would love to have the same face as these two"

Goodbye duck mouth, say hello to Kappa mouth and Usa-chan face

Even women's faces become fads, and the current "in" thing right now is the "kappa mouth".

This apparently refers to making a V-shaped mouth with one's lips slightly tucked in, as Amachan star Rena Nounen is the one who's best known for this. Thanks to Nounen's popularity, this sort of face has also gathered attention with people saying: "The V-shaped mouth is so cute", "She looks like a kappa".

And the times have now switched from the duck mouth to the kappa mouth.

The duck mouth was the previous trend, which actresses Aya Ueto, Yuriko Yoshitaka, and ex-AKB48 member Tomomi Itano were known for. This was particularly popular with the men who called it "sexy" and was a sensation.

And as all of these duck mouth pictures were being taken, people have started seeing this phenomenon as something "unnatural".

On the other hand, the kappa mouth gives off an innocent and child-like vibe (for the time being), unlike the crooked feel that the duck mouth gives off. It's still too early to say that the kappa mouth has entirely replaced the duck mouth, but it has slowly gained popularity thanks to the cute Nounen, so adult women might be better off staying away from this.

Apart from Nounen, there's also Reina Triendl who does the kappa mouth a lot. Both of them appeal to the public with their innocent looks.

These are the current faces that are "in!" For the kappa mouth, there's Rena Nounen (top left) and Reina Triendl (Top right).

The "Usa-chan face" are Masami Nagasawa, Mayuko Kawakita, and Kasumi Arimura. Both Nounen and Triendl also fall under the "Usa-chan face" category.

Whenever I see him, I always feel this urge to slap his face.

I don't hate him, in fact I kinda like him but I don't know,

Namie Amuro's got such a small face!

Namie Amuro's new song "TSUKI" will be the theme song for the movie Dakishimetai, which will be shown on February 1, 2014.

Dakishimetai, which stars Keiko Kitagawa and Ryo Nishikido, is a true-to-life love story of a man and a woman who were born in Hokkaido's Abashiri city.

Tsukasa (Kitagawa) got involved in a traffic accident when she was young. Despite having amnesia and living her life in a wheelchair, she still enjoyed life as she played sports and even fell in love with the taxi driver Masaki (Nishikido). 

The song "TSUKI" is a slow number filled with emotions and was written especially for the movie. It will be released in the winter of 2014 as Amuro describes it as "a song like the moon that quietly shines the way for someone, strongly and gently. I hope that I can help express the warmth of this movie's story through this song".
