Anime censorship on TV: Even Doraemon?

1: ケツすべりφ ★:2014/03/11(火) 03:29:04.12 0
(Partial translation)
People have noticed how Shizuka-chan's nude scene was changed in the TV broadcast of the movie Eiga Doraemon -Nobita no himitsu dougu hakubutsukan- on TV Asahi.

The edit was made in the scene where the hyper vacuum cleaner sucked in Shizuka's clothes, including her underwear. Light beam effects were added on these cuts to hide her more sensitive parts.

Anime shown on TV have employed various methods to hide sensitive parts such as one's nipples or crotch area by using light, or steam and such. These censorships are not done on DVD and Blu-ray releases, as well as cable and satellite broadcasts.

Indeed, it is indicated in the broadcasting standards of the Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association that "Full nudity is not to be allowed". But even so, Shizuka-chan's naked bathroom scenes have always been a staple in Doraemon. This movie was shown in cinemas all over the country last year and was seen by countless children. And it was evident that this scene was not vulgar nor would induce any sort of sexual arousal whatsoever.

Ami Kikuchi makes Anne Nakamura cry

1: 禿の月φ ★ 2014/02/04(火) 05:54:26.01 ID:???P
Anne Nakamura and Ami Kikuchi were both on the variety show Shabekuri 007 (Mondays 10~) as both of them were featured as "people whom you see each and every single day on TV these days" as the theme of the discussion was about "women's battle for survival".

Kikuchi said, "I don't want to disappear within the year", while Nakamura said, "I just don't want things to suddenly come to an end for me once I come full circle", as both expressed how they are not satisfied with their current standing. Kikuchi was serious throughout the segment, and also said that she's trying to obtain a license as a "head lymphatic massage therapist" in order to survive.

Shinya Ueda of Cream Stew commended the two on their passion for learning new things and said "If you're that serious about it, then you guys will be fine in 2014". But Nakamura said that "I feel like I'm losing (to Kikuchi) today", showing how she's dissatisfied with how the talk is proceeding.

Kikuchi said, "But Anne-chan, you did well in your own right!", seemingly looking down on Nakamura. The Shabekuri members then fanned the flame further and said, "Wow, you just seemed so condescending there! If you were to give her a score, how many points would you give?". Kikuchi candidly answered this and said, "I think she's scored about half (average). And it's alright since I myself have gotten above the half mark". Nakamura who was already teary-eyed at that point started crying and said, "Did I just turn into the villain here?".

There was also a moment in the program where Nakamura revealed that "Ami-chan is very familiar with other people (on other programs)", to which Kikuchi said, "Don't make it sound like I'm doing sexual favors!". The Shabekuri hosts then started doubting her, to which she replied, "There's no way I would! I'm protecting that aspect!".

The current state of the TV industry---Johnny's talents everywhere

1: れいおφ ★ 2014/02/02(日) 12:18:45.21 ID:???0
Johnny's talents are everywhere on TV, as they have even made their way into news and informational programs.

TOKIO's Taichi Kokubun and his new morning show Ippuku! will be replacing TBS' long-running informational program Hanamaru Market when it ends in March. The main MC for this program is a former Johnny's talent himself, Hirohide Yakumaru. On the same time slot is another Johnny's talent, V6's Yoshihiko Inohara on NHK's Asaichi.

Johnny's has forbidden their talents to go up against one another on the same time slot, and this can be considered a bit of an "issue". But if you look at it from a different perspective, you can also say that the TV industry is in a "state of emergency" as there's no one else worthy enough to become MCs, or no one has the ability to overturn the power of Johnny's.

Other shows where you see Johnny's talents are:
Arashi's Sho Sakurai on NEWS ZERO (NTV), TOKIO's Taichi Kokubun on Sporto! SATURDAY SPECIAL (Fuji TV), NEWS' Keiichiro Koyama on news every. (NTV), TOKIO's Tatsuya Yamaguchi on ZIP! (NTV), TOKIO's Shigeru Joshima on Minna no Gimon News naze Taro (TV Asahi), KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi on Going! Sports & News (NTV), and KAT-TUN's Yuichi Nakamaru on Shu-ichi (NTV)

The agency must be all smiles with these developments, but most consumers have probably had enough of them already.

Tetsuya Komuro: "The concept of 'hit songs' has collapsed"

1: :禿の月φ 2013/10/11 18:40:18
Musical producer Tetsuya Komuro expressed his opinions about the current state of J-POP on Twitter.

"The concept of 'hit songs' has collapsed. People have too many choices now, and there aren't a lot of things in common anymore." He points out that it's harder to make "hit songs" these days due to the diversity of music.
* (This was after a Twitter user told him, "Komuro-san seems to have taken a step ahead of the times, and you can't make a hit song if the listeners can't follow you. I get the feeling that Komuro-san can't make any more hits".)

He continues: "There will be people who will think that the Tokyo Sky Tree is the best, and there will also be people who consider the Tokyo Tower as the symbol of Tokyo." He also used Uniqlo, GAP, H&M, and FOREVER21 as examples and said "The quality of commodities have gone up, even music, everything is of pretty good quality", as he suggests that we are now in the times where we can easily get things that have pretty good quality.

A follower asked him, "Even still, don't you think that there's still 'something ubiquitous' that will not change?." Komuro replies, "I think I know what that 'something ubiquitous' is. It'll be a lot of manual labor so please give me some time. It's all a mix of music, words, and interval", as he shows his desire to create new songs.

"Anti-ratings talents"!? Which talents would make people change channels?

1: カーフブランディング(東日本) 2013/10/21(月) 19:16:11.92 ID:4VQdrvPu0
"Ratings Queen" and "Mr. Ratings"... These are the titles given to the talents who can attract viewers. If we go with the recent trend, the former will be Ryoko Yonekura while the latter is Masato Sakai. But there are also the opposite, the "anti-ratings talents" who make the people change channels once they're shown on TV.

And according to some research done at TV stations...

"Recently, it's Nana Suzuki and Serina. People either love or hate these two; it's either "They're cute" or "They're pathetic and irritating". They don't stand out too much on the hinadan (tiered platforms) talk shows due to the number of guests, but when these 2 are the featured guests, the ratings almost certainly take a plunge."

"It has to be Minako, Big Daddy's ex-wife. We had high hopes for her since her book became a bestseller. But the moment she appears on camera, we were really shocked when all the graphs went down. She's just a normal person after all without the golden label of "Big Daddy" pinned on her. All that's left for her is to get married again."

"There's also Mr. Koji Tamaki. He's had a lot of things going on with his private life for a few years now, right? It already showed in the ratings even from around the time of his divorce with Hiroko Yakushimaru and his DV against Mari Ishihara."

"And then there's also Kuniko Asagi and her affair scandal. When compared to an animal, she's called a snake."

"But there are also some people who seem to have graduated from the "anti-ratings talent" label, such as the manga artist Yoshikazu Ebisu. He made a comeback on TV Tokyo's Local rosen Bus no tabi, and he's never short of project proposals since. It seems that his current age of 66 has finally caught up to the grossness that he possesses. "

Who are the talents who would make you change channels?

Why do these "Rockin' on" fans hate it when their favorite bands appear on TV?

1: ◆YKPE.6U.2. @ゆきぺφ ★ 2013/09/27 14:51:45
"This might be a stereotypical answer, but I really become sad when my favorite band appears on TV" --- is what this SEKAI NO OWARI and self-proclaimed "Rockin'on fan" Akira (21, college student) said.

Bands who appear in the monthly music magazines "ROCKIN'ON" and "ROCKIN'ON JAPAN" are generalized as "ROCKIN'ON-kei", or "ROKINON-kei". These are the bands that rarely get exposure on TV music programs and are almost never on the major hit charts, but focus their activities on rock festivals. Fans of such bands are called "ROKINON-kei boy (or girl)" and "ROKINON-chu".

And just like Mr. Akira, there are a lot of ROKINON-chus who aren't too hunky-dory with their favorite bands making TV appearances. Why is that? Here are some reasons according to the fans.
