It's going to be a summer break movie in Japan. Since we don't have a lot of bootleg copies here, children's movies and movies that are expected to rake in a huge amount are generally targeted for Golden Week, summer break, and New Year releases.
Is it certain that they'll be making sequels for this? Then I'm hoping to see King Gidra in 3D as well.

Japan basically has nothing to do with this movie, but since Japan gave birth to the character, and Ken Watanabe's in it, its good performance at the box kinda makes me happy.

Not proposed by a Japanese, but the person who directed Godzilla vs. Hedorah is producing it.
A long-awaited Godzilla film + summer break release + post nuclear plant accident + Hollywood 3D
So I'm thinking that it will rewrite this year's box-office records. After a long time, here's a movie that I feel like watching a movie house.
I heard that the human drama portions of the movie haven't been getting good reviews
Did they use Godzilla's theme?

Yeah, there was one. It was by the director of Independence Day. If you didn't mind the aesthetics, it had much more punch than the Heisei Godzilla, and it was actually good.

I want to know the general reaction and satisfaction level, more than how much it made.
The budget for the film was about $160 million so I guess it should be targeting around $500 million at the international box office
The Godzilla concept is pretty vague to me. Is it a male or a female? And for some reason, it suddenly has an offspring.

They've reset the timeframe on numerous occasions already, so things seem to be progressing along various parallel timelines. But I don't think there was something that featured Godzilla's offspring. Minilla and everything else were just of the similar species.
People who complain about the nuclear power plant problem, won't they get mad about this?
I'm really looking forward to seeing this soon. I saw the picture, and that creepy-looking Godzilla looks so cool.
I've been having a bad feeling about this after seeing 2 beasts in the trailer. The flying one and Godzilla. Don't tell me that it's that horrible scenario wherein the "kaiju of justice" Godzilla sets out to defeat the evil monster?

Not really a kaiju of justice, but it's more like fighting fire with fire. In other words, they revived Godzilla in order to defeat the flying monster. And that Godzilla is still the one that ran riot in 1954... meaning the original one.

I heard that Godzilla's opponent is called MUTO. I'm guessing that its name comes from the word "mutant", so does that mean that the MUTO started to exist after Japan's nuclear reactors exploded? Then that means PM Abe and Minister of the Environment Ishihara should also criticize this movie just like Oishinbo for defamation. w

The American Godzilla looks amazing. It will take Japan a couple of decades to achieve such visual effects technology. But then, X-MEN will arrive the week after Godzilla so that might steal its thunder away. This new X-MEN is apparently aiming for the 2nd all time in box-office sales for FOX behind Avatar.
It seems like Americans love Godzilla. I wonder how they got to know it?
Godzilla's known by everyone, and is well-loved.

The original Godzilla was re-produced in the US incorporating Raymond Burr (known for his role in Ironside) as an American reporter who was in Japan to witness the devastation. It was then shown abroad and became a sensation. This version was then imported back to Japan, and was now called Godzilla, King of Monsters! It was shown on Cinema Scope, with the top and bottom parts of the screen cut so there were times wherein you couldn't see Godzilla's head.

I want to know if it breathes out heat-ray radiation. Doesn't have to be heat-ray, it can even be fire. Does it breathe out something? Because I want to know if baka-Hollywood who can't just get over their obsession for the realism of living creatures are properly facing Godzilla head on and accepting it for what it really is.
