Mayu Watanabe and Haruka Shimazaki, along with other AKB group members, were at the Kanda Myoujin shrine in Tokyo on the 13th for their annual "Coming of Age Day" photo shoot. 26 total members from the AKB group were present at the event, the most since they started doing this in 2011.
Watanabe comments: "I want to have momentum this year. I want people to think 'Wow, looks like it's Mayuyu's time!' this year. This will be a make-or-break year for AKB. I hope all of us can come together and work hard as one".
Shimazaki comments: "I took inspiration from Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and tried to be original with my Kimono. I'm not really good with interpersonal relations so I want to deepen my relations with others through drinking".
