Kyoko Koizumi and Kiichi Nakai to reprise their roles in the sequel of Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi

Actress Kyoko Koizumi and Kiichi Nakai's hit drama in 2012, Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi, will be making its return this April with the title Zoku - Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi. Koizumi, who stars as the sharp-tongued 48-year-old Chiaki Yoshino, comments: "I have never been too enthusiastic about sequels before, but I did think that I wanted to stick with this drama and this role a little while longer, so I'm really happy".

The first season of the drama shown in January 2012 was about Chiaki Yoshino, a single woman who works as a TV producer, and Wahei Nagakura, a man with one child who was separated from his wife by death. The two become drawn to one another along the way, yet always end up arguing with each other whenever they meet. The SP was also broadcast in November of the same year.

Chiaki has now turned 48 while Wahei has turned 52 in the second season, but they still argue whenever they would talk to each other. Koizumi comments: "I'm looking forward to my arguments with Wahei-san. I don't feel like I would lose! No, I definitely won't lose! Please look forward to it.".

The drama will begin airing in April on Fuji TV, every Thursday night from 10-10:54 pm. Kenji Sakaguchi, Naoko Iijima, and Yuki Uchida will also be reprising their roles.

Haven't these 2 already starred together in a drama a long time ago?
Wasn't it Mada koi wa Hajimaranai?

They were already at the point where they were about to look for a motel, so is there really anything more to do after that? w
I'll watch it, though.

A fight where their 2 mouths will be clashing intensely with one another, huh.

Kyonkyon daikon

I find it impressive how she hasn't improved at all despite all the experience that she's gone through
44: 名無しさん@恐縮です 2014/02/18 09:29:35 ID:dfBPq+iR0
But for some reason, she's got a good reputation within the industry

I watched the first season but I've forgotten how it ended... well, I'm looking forward to this

I'm gonna watch this.
But I basically don't watch 8 (Fuji).

Were the ratings good?
20: 名無しさん@恐縮です 2014/02/18 08:30:54 ID:aCDwMpyi0
It averaged 12.36 (percent) but the contents were commended and it got a lot of awards

I didn't watch the first one.
I won't be watching this one either.

This was super good

I'm excited about this.
This is my favorite drama in the last 10 years.

I've got a feeling that Season 2 will be
as bad as Saikou no Rikon

The fun thing in this drama weren't the conversations, but Kiichi Nakai's talking and his facial expressions.

I guess it's actually kinda fresh nowadays seeing the word "zoku" (continuation) in the title.

It's been confirmed in the special that they have feelings for each other so I want the theme to change from a senior citizen love story to a home comedy of an old couple. The huge-faced fat and ugly supporting character has deteriorated so much so there's no more need for her. Put in Ai Hashimoto or Rena Nounen instead.

This is Fuji TV we're talking about so they're probably going to put in someone from the Amachan cast. Maybe as someone like Kiichi Nakai's kouhai, or as a young part-timer who lives nearby.

This means there will be a "zoku Saikou no Rikon"
31: 名無しさん@恐縮です 2014/02/18 09:03:03 ID:l7wXvgcv0
I'm looking forward to this.
Yuki Uchida also added a nice touch to this drama.

If it's similar to Saikou no Rikon then it will probably be good

Kiichi Nakai and Kyoko Koizumi's bits together were so good, and I watched this every week, I also went to the shooting locations all the time so this is nice

Is this really good?
I only know Sakaguchi from Ikebukuro West Gate Park and Pride outside of Iryu so I think I want to see this www
