(Summarized)
* Mamoru Samuragochi revealed through his lawyer that a ghost writer has been composing for him, including his highly acclaimed "Symphony #1 HIROSHIMA" which sold over 180,000 -- a rarity for a classical piece.
* "Symphony #1 HIROSHIMA" was completed in 2003, was first performed in 2008 and received plaudits from critics. This was also included in the CD released after the great Eastern Japan disaster in 2011 and was even called "the symphony of hope".
* Samuragochi started letting someone else write music for him from 1996 when he was asked to score the music for a movie. His hearing impairment worstened at that time, and he revealed that he let someone else write over half of the music.
* He asked a composer whom he met at this time to write the music for him, by telling the composer about the song and the arrangement he had in mind, then paid a fee to the ghost writer.
* Samuragochi: "I created the structure of the song, but I let someone else write for me. I believe that this is a huge betrayal on my part. I apologize from the bottom of my heart for hurting my fans and the listeners".
* The name of the ghost writer is Takashi Niigaki, who worked with Samuragochi for 18 years.

Interview on the program Miyaneya (Mr. A = Niigaki)
Q. Since when did Mr. A start doing his requests?
A. 1996. For the theme song of the movie Cosmos.
Q. Why didn't he compose his own songs, and started asking Mr. A to do it for him?
A. Samuragochi cannot read or write a music sheet. He has never taken formal classical lessons. But he was obsessed with orchestra music.
Q. Why did Mr. A decide to come clean?
A. Around November of last year, Shuukan Bunshun published an article with the title "Is Samuragochi genuine?". And most of the things written there were accurate. Mr. A was also surprised at all the lies written in Samuragochi's book which he read in July. Especially the fact that he completely copied Mr. A's piano lesson history and applied it to his own. They talked about putting an end to this numerous times, but Samuragochi kept saying "We'll continue this". This isn't about money. Mr. A just wants to have a clean conscience.
(As of this post, Niigaki had already held a press conference and confessed several facts. More about this in a future post.)

Niigaki-san has such a timid face...
He must've been threatened, and probably doesn't even receive any compensation...
Takashi Niigaki's composition "Invention or Inversion III"

This sounds similar to the style of Niigaki's mentor, Akira Miyoshi. w
I really can't get myself to like this eccentric, advanced mode.

This sounds like a song that Yoshimatsu, the guy who praised Samuragochi, would hate w
Maybe he wanted to make simpler songs, but he was ashamed of using his name, so he used someone else's?

In today's Miyaneya, they reported that "Niigaki was threatened that Samuragochi would commit suicide if this fact was revealed" w

His face does look like someone who's easily threatened
I Googled him and thought that "Wow, this guy looks so timid"... and LOL'd at how everyone's been saying that
I think what happened here is:
N: "I won't write for you anymore."
S: "Then I'll make sure that you won't be able to stay in Toho (school of music) if you don't."
And so the ghost came clean.
Judging by his looks, I don't think he's the one who initiated this.
He was the main money earner of Columbia Japan, I wonder what will happen.
It'd be interesting if they start recalling the CDs.
Maybe him being deaf is also a lie

In fact, there were also a lot of opinions on the live threads that he could actually hear.
You'll find out in an instant if you set off a firecracker behind this guy
If he can't hear, then I'd assume that he'd rely heavily on his eyesight, but why is he wearing sunglasses, eh?

Maybe that's in order to make himself less suspicious.
You can easily tell if someone's lying with their eyes.
Is Miyane the source saying that he can't read or write musical sheets?

Yes.
Those were what that show's reporter asked the ghost writer.
He can't read or write scores.
And his track record when he was a kid was all copied from the ghost writer.

He was featured on Newswatch 9 once, then he went to a damn freezing place at the disaster-stricken area in order to strengthen his sensitivity. I thought then that the stuff he does is similar to what Shoko Asahara did, and bingo, I was correct w

The ghost writer's so talented then wwww
Then he'll probably receive tons of jobs once he comes out in public. wwwww

Hey you, don't you feel like a cheat for saying this after the results are out?
The fact that they said that he used to fight with other kids all day back then despite playing the piano was already stupid w
They said that his mother taught him how to play, but they didn't say anything about a piano teacher. And that he was already able to play Bach by 10? ww
It's obviously a back story that someone who's never been connected to music would come up with. And it's laughable when I think about how there are some people who were fooled by this.

I never had any interest so I didn't look at this guy's wiki, but this is funny w
I'm amazed how he was able to fool people with this.
Bach at 10? But his acting roots is on the same level as someone who started acting as "one of those extra villagers" in a school play ww
Well, his cover would have been blown if he ever held discussions with the conductor.
Q. Did you exchange opinions with the conductor?
"Not really. I have my own principles, these works that I have created in my head were all born from hard labor. I just want them to do exactly as what's written on the score sheet. That's it. I won't even go to the rehearsals. I never even expected for this piece to be played while I was still alive. I just wrote it in the hope that someone decides to pick this up and play it when the times have changed and people decide to return to their roots.
