It has been announced that rock band The Brilliant Green will be coming back from their hiatus of 3 and a half years. This was announced on their official site on February 6, the day vocalist Tomoko Kawase turned 39.
Also know as Buriguri, the band released their 5th studio album BLACKOUT in September of 2010 as each member proceeded with their individual efforts afterwards, but as they enter their 17th year, they have announced that they will be releasing two albums within the year -- the first of which will be an acoustic live session album in summer and an original album by winter. Details will be announced at a later date.

I didn't know that she's that old
Oh, Buriguri who's got an excessive amount of CD stocks at Book-off, yep I know them.
39←LOL wwwwwww
If you're not careful, you'll confuse them with Every Little Thing

So Tommy-tan's already 39.....
IIRC, the guitarist left and now it's just the husband and wife who are in the band w

They would've probably stayed quite popular if they kept the name Buriguri all this time.
Tommy's pretty much a one-hit wonder who bombed big-time, and most of the younger generation don't know them.

A bang-able 39-y/o

She's got a flat face so she hasn't deteriorated as much

Wrinkles tend to stand out with people who have cute, idol-looking faces at this age. - This person has always had a bland-looking face, so it's like she has maintained her looks.
It's embarrassing how the lyrics are in English, but doesn't her English sound awkward to the ears of foreigners?
A rock band? wwwww If they're a rock band then all bands are rock bands.
The first time I heard them back in the day, I didn't think they were a Japanese band.
They were really snazzy.
That's why I got interested in them.
それがthe brilliant green
A bit of trivia.
The Brilliant Green is the only Japanese rock band that Thom Yorke approves of. He praised them by saying that their band name and songs are cool (their early days only).

Tomoko Kawase's cute.
I wish I was born with that face and that delicate body.
I don't know why but I really love the drums on the song "Ash like snow"
During their early days.
The vocals are in English and it's pretty messy, but this is indeed rock. You can understand why Thom Yorke liked them.
But the vocals are horrible live. She doesn't have volume at all.
The album BLACKOUT wasn't that good so I'm not keeping my hopes up. Their first and 2nd albums were just too godly, but everything after that was bad. And things have gotten worse after Matsui left them.
When there's a pause in your activities, your fans will leave you and your songwriting ability will also lose its edge.
Her album a few months ago as Tommy wasn't bad

The band name is cool
Things usually don't turn out well when there's romance within the band.
My image of them are a cheap imitation of the Cardigans
Their song compositions during their early days were amazing.
I guess they've compiled quite a bunch of songs so they're resuming activities.
So, what kind of person is their ghost writer?
There was also a time when she was a fashion leader...
Will Ikimonogakari be heading towards the same path?
So Tommy's already 39, huh.
Her solo effort felt too much of a try-hard, but she was cute.
Yeah, yeah, no more money to burn for leisure, right? I know w
"Tsumetai Hana" is their only song that's bearable to listen to

For songs that sound like "Tsumetai Hana", then I recommend the song "Enemy"
My impression is that they're one-hit wonders. It's like their most popular song is their debut single, and I don't even know the title of that one.
I liked all the albums that were released under the name "Tommy"
I like Tommy, but I got dumbfounded when I heard her sing live at a stadium
I've totally forgotten about them
I don't think she's good at singing nor at speaking English, but I like their sound, her voice and the overall feel of the band
