Asada didn't make any mistakes in free skating?
It's not about the medal, anymore. Here was the best performance ever.
I cried (TωT)
I became teary-eyed while she was skating.
Then the floodgates opened when I saw Mao-chan's emotional face at the end.
I prayed as I watched this because of yesterday's short program.
Then I cried after her performance.
This will go down in history
I started crying at the beginning when I heard the cheer
"Mao-chan ganbare-" w
I saw this scene in my head where her dead mother was hugging Mao-chan in the middle of her jump (´；ω；`)
Michelle Kwan cried too!
"Mao Asada - made me cry.... a performance that we will all remember forever!"
Jeffrey Buttle ?@J_Butt 2014年2月21日 2:01
"I had tears in my eyes. Thank you Mao! Magnificent."
If we're crying here, then it must be a calamity where Oda is right now
"What a comeback by Mao!!! Amazing skate. So happy for her!"

Asashoryu's crying now too
"Your mother is watching you from above!
Mao-chan, thank you so, so much!"
Just how much does Asashoryu love Mao-chan www
"I think an Olympic medal should be awarded to the people who have challenged the limits of their abilities. It can get kinda vague in figure skating because of the scoring system, but it's still a competition, not a mere game. She wowed the arena with her elegance, and didn't give up as she tried to nail the big moves. Mao Asada is the exemplary figure skater."

"I'm so glad, there's no more regrets. You did well, you must be tired. Today must've been a really tough day. I cried along with you... It was the best performance. Mao Asada-san, you're the best skater there is."
Elvis Stojko @Therealestojko
"Mao Asada Simply brilliant skate tonight! SO awesome for her! Making Japan proud!"
Elvis Stojko @Therealestojko
"I just have to say I am teary eyed for Mao Asada, makes my heart smile! :-)"
Alexei Yagudin @yagudinofficial
"Mao Asada, произвольная, шикарно, до слез!!!
Настоящий борец! Низкий поклон за сегодняшнюю борьбу с собой!"
Jason Brown's also touched
"Kexin Zhang finishes strong and MAO ASADA steps onto the ice!! YUZURU AND I are freaking out! We Love Mao!!"
From commentator Johhnyko (Johnny Weir)
(Johnny) Technique, spiritual strength, this is everything.
Whatever happens afterwards, the one thing that we'll remember these Olympics for is Mao's performance.
(Tara) You can tell that her snaps worked for her today.
Such quick and beautiful jumps, and she nailed all of them! This is the Mao that we know.
A Korean covering Mao-chan's face on the banner with their flag wwww
Koreans do these dirty tricks a lot
Daisuke Takahashi must've cried a river too
Seeing the reactions of these other skaters goes to show how amazing Mao was
Mao-chan gave it her absolute all in free skating, and had no mistakes and skated perfectly.
My tears just won't stop (T_T)
Whatever anyone says, Mao-chan's number one in the world!
I can watch this over and over.
She was able to do her best at the most important timing, Mao-chan's really wonderful!
I got goosebumps.
She flawlessly nailed 6 types of triple jumps. You can call this the pinnacle for a female athlete.
I don't care about the score nor the medals.
I just wanted her to perform without any regrets.
And after all was done, there was nothing more to say, she gave the best performance ever.
It really was wonderful.
I'm just so happy that I got to see Mao-chan's smile
I'm confident that I'll still keep crying no matter how many times I see the replay
Shuzo Matsuoka must've cried too
She probably wouldn't have been able to perform like this if she had to deal with pressure in the final group.
I'm glad that she was able to conclude it wonderfully.
It was my first time seeing such amazing steps.
Those steps felt like they were life itself.
She has touched so many people like this because of her personality.
I've been watching her for 10 years, so I'm crying again after remembering various things
You guys, watch this for the time being
I wonder when was the last time I cried so loud because I was extremely moved
This picture on USA Today is nice
So she'll be retiring...
Thank you Mao-chan!
This person really is amazing.
Now I don't want her to retire after she just blew us away with that performance
I'm happiest that I got to see Mao-chan's face, where she looked like she was fully satisfied with her performance.
Her smile really felt like it came from her heart.
