Kenji Darvish buys a Benz on Tunnels' program

Kenji Darvish bought a Mercedes Benz in a segment of Tunnels no minasan no okage deshita on the 29th that cost him \8.5 million. Fans have then asked him, "No regrets? It seemed like you were forced".

He updated his blog before with the words,"I just bought a car...", after the last broadcast where he decided on buying one. Fans started worrying for him.

Then on the 29th, Darvish once again updated his blog with the title, "About me buying a car".
"Thank you so much for all your concern ♪ I'm alright since I chose a car that I like!! And I bought that car from the royalties I earned from my book!"
"It's a car that I was able to buy because of all your support! And I'm happy that I was able to show the car to my fans through this program that I love, I'm happy ♪ I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is a present from you guys to me."
"I will definitely use this with care. Thank you so much♪"

I think he'll be able to earn a decent living doing Nyanchu for a while.

いい車だとは思うんだがいらないとこまで無駄に豪華なのとトルクは60ｋｇオーバーだが出力260馬力程度で燃費も悪くスペックとしては大したことないのを考えると価格半分で買える国産SUVにいろいろオプション付けるなり自分好みにショップで仕上げてもらうなりした方が良かったんじゃないかとも思う

I think it was the ML350 Blue TEC AMG Performance package.
I think it's a good car, but it's unnecessarily too extravagant in small places, and it's got 260hp despite weighing 60kg so the fuel efficiency's pretty bad. The specs in itself aren't exactly that good either, so if you think about it, it would have been better if he bought an SUV made in Japan for half the price, then put a lot of different add-ons to customize it as to how he wants it.
Though that's unnecessary meddling on my part.

Someone of Bananaman's class would probably be earning 50,000 a year. Instead of half of it being taken away by taxes, then it would be better to just buy an expensive watch.
