Kyoko Fukada to marry Maasa Igarashi? (news post seven)

Kyoko Fukada (31) is attracting attention right now for her bipolar nurse role in the movie RoomMate. She has increased her repertoire of roles these past few years as she has played a crazy and jealous housewife in one drama (NHK's Second Virgin) and then even had a love scene with Goro Kishitani (49) in the movie Yoake no Machi de.

But there have also been changes in her private life as of late.

"Her father actually hasn't been feeling well for about a year now... Her mother seems to be nursing him, and she comes to visit him despite her busy schedule." - (TV station staff)

And she's now apparently ready to get married.

"Now that she's over 30, she has learned to enjoy the different types of projects that she gets to do compared to when she was younger. And also because of her father's illness, her feeling of 'wanting to show herself in a wedding dress to make her father feel relieved' has gotten stronger." - (same source).

She has been going steady with the actor Maasa Igarashi (28) for 3 years now. The media also reported Fukada, her father, and Igarashi were seen together at a Yakiniku restaurant in May of 2011.

"He has a chef's license, and has been cooking a lot for Fukada despite being busy himself with movie and drama shoots. Fukada used to love wine and drink all night in bars, but this is probably the reason why she goes straight home these days. Fukada easily gains weight, and the reason why she's been able to maintain her figure as of late is because of his cooking.
