This isn't good...
What's rock again?
But in reality, B'z are actually better than the foreign acts, especially when you see them at festivals
Most of those aren't even "Rock bands"
That's mostly J-POP w
But ROCK is just something they declare themselves, right?
It has to be MisChil.
If they decide which Japanese band should perform at the Tokyo Olympics, I want MisChil who's popular with the public to perform.
>9th ONE OK ROCK - 136
No Thee Michelle Gun Elephant? This is done for...
If you're choosing rock bands then you should make the rockers take the survey.
If amateurs are the ones who vote, it will just turn into a J-POP ranking.
B'z is rock? wwwwwwwwwww
But Spitz isn't even rock
BLANKEY should be 1st
L'Arc haven't had any rock-sounding songs recently.
It makes me a bit sad as a fan.
I think Michelle and BUCK-TICK are good though.
Err, but 1st and 2nd aren't even rock bands...
B'z is rock. If not, then Aerosmith isn't rock too.
But MisChil, you're J-POP.
When you say rock, it has to be the TIMERS. Now that's rock.
No Kinniku Shojotai?
But damn, the bands here are pretty old LOL
It looks like a popularity vote of people around their 40s.
No Orange Range? (´･ω･｀)
Music with distorted guitars and straightforward drumbeats are considered rock.
Is rock some sort of subliminal entity to you guys?
I feel that foreigners would snicker at this ranking
How come THE YELLOW MONKEY isn't in it...
BOOM BOOM SATELLITES が無いランキングに意味は無いThere's no point in a ranking that doesn't include BOOM BOOM SATELLITES
ONE OK ROCKって何ぞ？
LOUDNESS is the only answer here.
What the heck's up with ONE OK ROCK?
I really don't get the definition of rock.
Don't they just have to smash their guitars to be considered rock?
REBECCA's in there, but there's no JUDY and MARY, huh?
So what about Yuya san
Summing them all up as 'rock' can get really confusing.
If it's just a band with a drummer, bassist, guitarist, and vocalist then...
it has to be TOKIO.
Why is SPITZ in there wwwwwwwwww
Include BUCK-TICK w
LOUDNESS isn't even in there.
This is an amateurish ranking because there's no Otokogumi
The top should have gone to HAPPYEND
You can really tell with this ranking that the music industry ended in the '90s
People who live a "rock" kind of life won't vote in surveys like this!
There's no Yuratei...
So the Southern All Stars is a rock band? I thought they were a comical band.
I thought X was already forgotten about. They're still surprisingly putting up a good fight, huh.
A year ago, I felt weird when I saw a post on Yahoo which I think was done by a Jr. highschooler that went: "Who's Japan's number 1 rock band? I'd be happy if it was Uverworld"
2. Yellow Monkey
But habitual copycats B'z is the shame of Japan.
Aerosmith will definitely sue them if they knew about it.
So RC Succession is out of the rankings since they're in the hall of fame, huh
What's the point in a rock ranking without Eikichi Yazawa and Yuya Uchida?
What's this? Aren't the oldies the only ones who voted here?
Blue Hearts? Boowy? When did your clocks stop, eh?
no doubt about it.
Isn't this a name value ranking?
It may not be rock, but I think this is a proper ranking.
But there's no mistake that the music industry has been in a poor state for the past few years now.
There's no point in a band ranking that has no Kinniku Shoujotai and Ningen Isu... w
RC Succession should be 1st by a landslide
Well, I understand B'z getting 1st.
I have objections from 2nd onwards, though.
BOOWY, Siam Shade, Seikimatsu.
When you think of these guys and the era they were in, they just had too much talent.
It's amazing that bands of this calibre already existed 20 years ago.
I don't know the band in 9th spot.
Are they popular?
(Related post HERE)
It seems that the definition of rock is using guitars and bass to make the sound while avoiding electronically generated sounds.
This is enough to drop MisChil out of there.
There's a lot of '80s~'90s bands in there.
The survey takers must be around 20~40 years old.
Well, ONE OK ROCK is the most popular one among the young bands we have.
Next is probably Sakanaction.
The ranking does feel rock
I don't think the MisChil members themselves are too particular with the label "rock".
I hope they can be set free from rankings like this.
And they sounded rock the most when they were at the low point of their career.
I'm relieved that Golden Bomber isn't in there
1 - RC Succession
2 - BOOWY
3 - BUCK-TICK
4 - BLUE HEARTS
5 - MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT
It should be
1 - X
2 - LUNA SEA
if we're talking about rock.
I thought it would include bands like LOUDNESS, EARTHSHAKER, PINK CLOUD...
I just totally tripped when I saw the ranking.
No THE HIGH-LOWS? Rejected.
Yellow Monkey should be 1st.
Everything else is trash.
There are a lot of people who don't consider SAS as rock, huh.
Don't just look at the surface.
There aren't a lot of youngsters in there.
Well, it does seem like rock doesn't have momentum now, and I don't think there will be a band again that will be supported by a lot of people.
It's our generation, no matter how you look at it LOL
It probably would have been different if you asked 10~20 year olds.
So old wwwwwwwwwwwww
ONE-OK's the only modern band in there wwwwwwwwww
I don't really get it, but to me, rock is wearing leather jackets and looking mean.
